Iím Peggy, and Iím helping my Mom with her new furniture business.
Hereís how it happened. I have a most favorite chair in my room that used to be my Momís when she was little. She says itís an heirloom. I think maybe it is really called recycling. Anyway, Mom started making more chairs so other kids could have a special spot too.
The whole idea is to make furniture that will last from when kids are little to when they are all grown-up and in their own houses. Mom says nowadays lots of things for kids end up in the trash! Personally, I hate to throw anything away. All my stuff is so full of memories. It makes me happy to know I'll always have my chair. Plus, itís super cute and cozy and just my size. What could be better?
Everyone says Iím a bit of a chatterbox (itís only true, I do like to talk), so Mom let me be her spokeskid. My job is to tell about the chairs, and then my stories are made into little books that go with each one. It feels all friendlier and more fun that way.
I bet kids are going to love it, and their moms will think itís awesome too!
